A poppy blooms

     “I write, erase, rewrite,
      Erase again, and then
      A poppy blooms”

It is a haiku by Hokushi, in all its sharp elegance, concise, cutting straight to the point, with swiftness much like a samurai’s blade.

Isn’t that a fair comparison between the toil of mankind and nature? How much effort we put in our creations, whereas in nature everything seems to happen effortlessly.

Made me pause… something’s not quite right, don’t you think? Shouldn’t we be able to live and create with ease? Perhaps that’s why we go in nature to recharge, instinctively we know there is a better way. Another, more natural way.

Wishing you ease in your day!
